Christmas Lighting of the Tunnel

Kick off the holiday season with one of Southwest Virginia’s most magical traditions! Join us as the Natural Tunnel is transformed into a glowing winter wonderland, illuminated with thousands of twinkling lights and animated Christmas displays. 
Enjoy a scenic chairlift ride down to the tunnel, warm up by the fire, sip hot chocolate and listen to your favorite holiday tunes. 
Stop by Carter Cabin, one of Scott County’s oldest structures, to hear traditional Christmas stories and the history of the cabin.

Friday, Nov. 28Give a friend a lift: Bring two or more non-perishable food items per person to receive a free chairlift ride. The food collected will go to a local food bank.

Friday, Dec. 5Decorate a cookie night: Indulge your sweet tooth and decorate a sugar cookie with icing and festive sprinkles!

Friday, Dec. 12Kids craft night: Join us at the card and craft table and make a unique decoration that will be fun for everyone, whether you are a kid or a kid at heart.

Admission Parking: $7 per vehicle
Chairlift: $5 per person for a round trip and $4 for a one-way ticket
