Railroad Day at Natural Tunnel State Park

Save the Date! Railroad Day is returning to the park.
Explore a rare piece of Southwest Virginia’s railroad history. 
For one day only, train traffic will pause so you can walk the tracks through the tunnel, normally closed to the public.
Hike the trail or ride the chairlift down, then stop by Carter Cabin to learn about the area’s rich past. Don’t miss this unique experience!
Saturday, July 18
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Parking is $7 per vehicle in the picnic area. Shuttles will be available
Purchase food and drinks from our concession stand and local vendors
Chairlift rides: $5 round trip, $4 one way. Kids 3 and under ride free
