Did you know that most of Leeman Fields park and the Pennington Gap greenbelt is located in the floodplain and faces a high likelihood of annual flooding? That’s why the town is currently undertaking a project to reduce flooding while increasing native species and recreational opportunities in Leeman Fields and along their greenbelt!
Join us at 5 p.m. on October 9 as we are joined by professional landscape architects and stormwater managers as we begin to design a more resilient greenspace! This meeting will focus on identifying specific nature-based flood solutions that will both provide new outdoors opportunities for residents and reduce storm-related damages around the park.
The meeting will be taking place at 41670 W Morgan Ave, Pennington Gap, VA 24277-3300, United States
