A magical night at the museum during the 29th annual Festival of Trees (happening Nov. 10 through Dec. 31). On this special nighttime viewing date, come explore the Southwest Virginia Museum exhibits located in Big Stone Gap surrounded by more than 80 beautifully decorated trees, mantels, banisters and doorways.
All Night Viewing dates: Nov. 22, 23, 29 and 30 and every Friday and Saturday in December from 5 to 8 p.m.
Special “Evening Aglow” nights where overhead lights are turned off, but glowing luminaries and flickering candles guide the way through the lit up trees: Nov. 23 and Dec. 21
You can also visit the Festival of Trees during regular museum hours: Tuesday-Friday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday: 1-5 p.m.
Trees are decorated by local families, churches, schools, businesses and civic groups, showcasing the creativity and holiday spirit of the Southwest Virginia community.
Regular admission rates apply: Adults: $5, children 6-12: $3, under 6: free. Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more.
