DESCRIPTION:In 1908 a public ceremony was held during the laying of the corner stone of the Minor Building. During this ceremony they filled a box full of newspapers\, business cards\, biographies\, coal\, coins\, etc.\, then placed the box inside the corner stone and sealed it up! This history has been long forgotten… until now. We will be unveiling this time capsule for the public to witness on November 8th right after the Veterans Day Parade in downtown Big Stone Gap\, VA directly in front of the Minor Building! We will be recording this for those of you too far away or who can’t travel! Please share this event\, witnessing such an old time capsule being opened is a once in a lifetime experience!
