Wise County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes Their Newest K9 Team

According to a statement issued by the Wise County Sheriff's Office:
The Wise County Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome and congratulate their newest K9 team, Sgt. Ryan Vanover and K9 Roane.
K9 Roane is a 19 month old Belgian Malinois from Holland and the team just graduated a five week International Police Work Dog Association school in Knoxville, TN. Sgt. Vanover and K9 Roane became certified in Single Purpose Patrol, which includes, Apprehension and Tracking.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported and gave generously for our K9 Fundraiser.

We would like to thank David Burgess at Innovative Graphics for hosting a T-Shirt Fundraiser, which helped tremendously for the purchase of the new K9. Also we would like to say how thankful we are to everyone who purchased or helped sell a K9 shirt for the fundraiser. We sold over 200 shirts and are still available to be purchased at Innovative Graphics in Norton, VA.
We would also like to thank the individuals who contributed to the K9 Unit. There were multiple individuals who donated and we are so grateful and very appreciative of their gift.
The Wise County Sheriff’s Office strives to keep our community safe and we believe the K9 program is essential in helping us achieve this goal.
