Wise County Sheriff’s Office Accepting School Supply Donations

In nearby Wise County, Sheriff Ronnie Oakes and Assistant Sheriff Grant Kilgore publicly recognized 12 year old Riley McKinney and her family for collecting school supplies to fill book bags that Riley purchased for Wise County school children in need. Wise County Sheriff’s Office on behalf of their School Resource Officers will   accept school supply donations, and distribute them to students that may have a need. For those interested in donating supplies such as: pencils, paper, crayons, glue, markers, personal care hygiene items or money to purchase these items you can drop off donations at the Appalachia Town Hall or the Wise County Sheriff’s Office between 8am-4pm weekdays, now thru March 1st, 2019.
