Wise County Declares Itself Second Amendment Sanctuary Community

In their latest meeting, the Wise County Board of Supervisors, voted to approve and declare themselves a Second Amendment Sanctuary community. Although the absence of the chairman (District 4 Supervisor Dana Kilgore) and an additional member (Supervisor Steve Bates) were absent, the vote passed unanimously. This brings the number of Virginian cities opposing state legislation they determine to be infringing on gun rights at more than eighty, with Wise County claiming the 86th spot.
Among the many who commented in support, was District 3 Supervisor  J.H. Rivers who said “We need to let northern Virginia know that rural Virginia is alive.” Going further to add, that he hoped to see the Virginia Civil Defense League, “shut down Richmond”.
