Warrant Leads To Meth Lab Discovery

The attempted service of a warrant early Tuesday morning has led to the discovery of a meth lab, the recovery of a stolen gun and seizure of other drugs. Lee County Sheriff Gary Parsons reports that deputy Chad Rouse had information that a wanted person was at the residence of 59 year old Debbie Deloris Mosier of Rt. 1 Box 376B Blackwater.

Parsons said that Rouse asked if he could search her residence for the wanted person. Mosier agreed at which point a meth lab was located. There was also a loaded firearm in plain view. The gun was found to be stolen. Mosier was also a convicted felon. Further investigation revealed illegal narcotics.

According to Parsons, Mosier was charged with possession of a firearm after being a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of Schedule II narcotics. Further charges are anticipated.

Parsons said Mosier is held in the Duffield Regional Jail with no bond. Parsons commended the work of deputy Rouse and Deputies Lt. Todd Jones, Lt. AJ McQueen and Deputy Chris Dillman who assisted at the scene.
