Virginia’s Unemployment Rate

Virginia's Unemployment Rate has dropped a tenth of a percent from June until July 31st, making it the sixth consecutive month that the labor force has increased in the Commonwealth. The jobless rate was already down 3.7% from the same time in July of 2017. This rate is the lowest in the state since August 2007, and remains below the national average rate which was 3.9% in July.
