Virginia’s Pumpkin Farming Hits Top 20 Crop List

Pumpkin farming in Virginia has entered into the top twenty agriculture product list for the Commonwealth. The 2018 pumpkin crop, brought in more than $10 million dollars from approximately 3,500 acres of commercially grown pumpkins. These figures do not include pumpkins grown for the “Pick Your Own’ patches. This is also the first time that flower farming has broken thru to the top twenty list for the Commonwealth.
