Virginia’s Primary Elections

Recently in the Commonwealth, Virginian residents picked their favorite Republican and Democratic nominees for the various congressional races during the low key primary elections. Republican were able to choose among three relatively new political newcomers that are challenging United States Senator Mark Warner in the General Election this coming Fall. As the results came in, it was clear than Republicans chose Daniel Gade to be their nominee against Warner this Fall in the General Election.
Even though Senator Warner came close to losing six years ago, to this date, no other well known Republican candidate has arisen to challenge him this year. Statewide in the Commonwealth of Virginia, no Republican candidate has won in more than a decade.
