Virginia State Police Special Agent Indicted

A Virginia State Police Special Agent has been indicted in Federal Court on charges of making false statements to an FBI agent. 46 year old Shade Workman is accused of engaging in sex with a confidential informant and then advising the informant to destroy evidence of their relationship while working as a special agent commander with the Tazewell County High Intensity Task Force. Workman has been arraigned where he pled Not Guilty to the charges. Trial is expected to begin November 13th.
