Virginia Appalachian Tri-college Nursing Program Ending

Locally in the news is an announcement concerning the split of the Virginia Appalachian Tri-college Nursing Program. The decentralization of this valuable program is because of growth in enrollment and new improvements in instructional technology. This move is being done in order for each of the involved schools to better meet both growing regional and national demand for nurses. This May, the three colleges involved, Mountain Empire Community College, Southwest Virginia Community College and the Virginia Highlands Community College will begin their individual nursing programs.
