Va Tech Student Threatened

Authorities are investigating threats made against a Virginia Tech student who requested a teaching assistant to be terminated for alleged statements that were posted on social media.
Tori Coan,a Virginia Tech undergraduate drew attention to the Facebook posts made by graduate student Mark Neuhoff. In one of Neuhoff's posts he cites an article that stated "we'd have a better, more just world" if Hitler had won World War II.
Coan after reading the posts, called for Neuhoff to be removed from his teaching position but school officials stated they are committed to free speech.
Since then Coan stated that she has received multiple threatening phone calls and Blacksburg police are investigating the matter.
Neuhoff defended his posts stating they were taken out of context, and that he isn't hateful or violent but was having a nuanced discussion of history.
