UVA wise concert

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Department of Music invites the public to attend a Music Faculty Recital, Friday, February  6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths.
 
The recital will feature UVa-Wise pianist and faculty member Christy Lee playing with special guest artist Wesley Baldwin, cellist. The program, “From Old to New:  A Musical Journey,” will feature music from Old World composers including Robert Schumann and Claude Debussy, and other composers from the Caribbean and South America.  Other performers will include UVa-Wise Academic Dean Amelia Harris on flute and student Morgen Newell on percussion.
 
Lee is a new member of music faculty in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at UVa-Wise.
 
Baldwin is a professor of cello at the University of Tennessee and a resident artist with the Michigan City Chamber Music Festival.
 
The Baldwin-Lee Duo has appeared in recital at venues across the Midwest and Southeast.
