The United Way of Southwest Virginia is assisting the surrounding counties with its Disaster Recovery Fund
Residents must submit request for assistance no later than Friday, March 20.
Victims must clearly prove services are needed and demonstrate a need for financial support.
United Way seeded its Disaster Recovery Fund with a $25,000 commitment.
Individuals and organizations interested in contributing to the fund can visit the recovery fund link on United Way of Southwest Virginia’s website at unitedwayswva.org/disaster or call 276/628-2160.
One hundred percent of the money donated to the fund will go to recovery efforts with no administrative fees withheld, according to the organization.
