Two Vehicle Crash Near Dryden Post Office

Locally in the news, a weekend crash has resulted in one death. Meanwhile a deputy is still recovering from a two vehicle crash that took place last Friday afternoon just before 1:30pm. Authorities say that the deputy was responding to an emergency call and travelling east on Route 58, when another vehicle pulled out in front of them near the Dryden Post Office. According to authorities the deputy’s vehicle had both lights and sirens activated.
State police officials state that the deputy had swerved to avoid the vehicle but the two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes. Unfortunately the adult driver that pulled out in front the deputy succumbed to their injuries shortly after being transported to Lonesome Pine Hospital. The deputy was also transported for medical treatment, but the injuries were not considered life threatening. At this time the crash is still under investigation.
