Three Nabbed in Lee County on Drug Charges

According to the latest Press Release from Lee County Sheriff Gary Parsons, a pursuit and subsequent vehicle search has led to the arrest of three Lee County residents and the seizure of illegal drugs and cash.
The report states that Deputy Chad Rouse was on patrol in the Pennington Gap section of Lee County when he obseved Augustine Macedo of Rosehill, Virginia operating a vehicle. Rouse had knowledge that Macedo was not licensed.
According to Parsons, Rouse attempted to stop the vehicle which fled into the Smith's Chapel area. During the chase Rouse observed items being thrown from the vehicle. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed into a farm plow sitting on a private lawn.
Parsons said that there were two other individuals in the vehicle, Vaness Figueroa of Rosehill and Jessica Fee of Sugar Run Road. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine in different sections of the vehicle along with three smoking pipes, scales and $401 in cash. Also another set of scales was found where Deputy Rouse had seen items thrown from the vehicle.
Macedo was charged with Possesion with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Felony Eluding and Obstruction. Figueroa was charged with Possession to Distribute Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Obstruction. Fee was charged with Possesion with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Obstruction.
Parsons commended Deputy Rouse for his good work. Rouse was assisted by Deputy Lt. AJ McQueen and Pennington Gap Officer James Adair.
