Tennessee residents arrested for drugs

Two Tennessee residents were arrested in Harlan, KY for drug possession.

On December 15, Kentucky trooper from Post 10 Harlan conducted a traffic stop on Jon Paul Ericson of Bean Station, TN and passenger Rhonda Davis from Rutledge, TN.

Officers smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle and  found over a pound of marijuana being located that was wrapped in plastic underneath the spare tire of the trunk. Drug paraphernalia items along with $600 in cash were also seized from the vehicle.

Ericson, 35, was arrested and charged with first offense trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces to 5 pounds), possession of marijuana, first offense DUI, careless driving and speeding 16 mph over limit.

Davis, 35, was also arrested and charged with public intoxication.

Both were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. The case is still under investigation by Partin.
