Teachers of the Year

The Lee County School Board presented plaques and recognized the 2020-2021 teachers of the year.  This year’s award winners for teacher of the year were as follows:

Dryden Elementary – Karen Williams

Elk Knob Elementary – Jeff Trent

Flatwoods Elementary – Debbie Woliver

Rose Hill Elementary – Mary Long

St. Charles Elementary – Roberta Gibbons

Elydale Middle School – Melissa Greer

Jonesville Middle School – Rachel Fee

Pennington Middle School – Sherry Falin

Lee High School – Sherri Evans

Thomas Walker High School – Nathaniel Mooney

Lee County Career and Technical Center – Ann Graham

Lee County Head Start – Glen Smith

Out of these recipients, they congratulated Rachel Fee as division Teacher of the Year.

Other news coming out of the meeting was that all school would be holding summer school from 8:30am until 1:00pm running from June 1 through June 24 with the only exception being the Lee County Career and Technical Center.  The school calendar was also approved with the school year starting on August 5, a week break at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks break for Christmas with the school year ending on May 20.
