With only 21 days left until the start of the 2015-2016 school year, this year’s tax-free weekend will be held next weekend August 7-9 in Virginia. This means school supplies, clothing, footwear, hurricane and emergency preparedness items, and Energy Star and WaterSense products can be purchased without paying sales tax. Online purchases also qualify during the tax-free weekend. Tennessee will also hold their tax-free weekend August 7-9.
The Lee High Generals will travel to Claiborne County on Thursday, August 13 for their first football scrimmage of the season. They will play Marion at home on Friday, August 21 for a benefit game. Lee High season football tickets are now on sale, along with all-season sports passes. For football only, tickets are $50 and include admission to all varsity and jayvee home games, and reserve seating and parking for the season. The all-season pass is $75 and includes only admission. All-season sports passes with reserved seating and parking cost $90. Regular gate admission at each varsity football game will be $6 this year, and $3 for jayvee.
