Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies teamed up with Virginia State Police to catch a suspected child predator. Police say Danny Ray Gibson was exchanging messages with a teenage girl. Her parents became concerned and called police. Then, an agent, posing as a young girl, began messaging with him and set up a meeting at Food City in Weber City. Gibson was arrested and charged with requesting sexual acts with an electronic device. Prosecutors say he had 83 Facebook friends who were young girls in the area.
