Sidewalk Project a Go

Verifying the information provided by Keith Harless, Pennington Gap Town Manager, during our Monday Morning show, during the Pennington Town Council Meeting on Monday, the Council voted to approve the construction of a new sidewalk on the west end of the town.  The current sidewalk ends at Cecil Street, across from Family Tire and Wash House, and the first phase of the project would extend this walkway to Edwards Street.  This plan has several phases and, when fully completed, will provide a safe walkway all the way to Lee County Community Hospital.  It was also reported that work is to beginning on the parking lot on Main Street.
