The Lee County Sheriff's Department, National Guard, Jonesville Police Department, Pennington Gap Police Department, EMS workers/volunteers throughout the county, The First United Methodist Church of Jonesville, town employees and VDOT have been working hard to assist the citizens of Lee County.
The departments have made delivers to over 600 citizens in the county since Tuesday February 24, 2015. Shelters have been opened and are available to those in need; with transport to the shelters being offered as well. Supplies have also been available at the local Fire Departments, for pick up by citizens who can safely drive themselves to the locations.
The Lee County Sheriff's Department Deputies have assisted Rescue Squads alongside the National Guard and Fire Departments, with patients located on snow covered roads. Transporting citizens for medical treatment such as dialysis and radiation/chemotherapy has also been provided.
