The sentencing of the Scott County woman accused of hiring a hitman to kill her son has been delayed. Mae B. Taylor entered an ‘Alford Plea’ after officers accused her of attempting the have her son killed to collect insurance money. Police say Taylor was upset because he was not helping pay to raise his child. The would-be hitman told the Scott County Sheriff’s Department about the plot and Taylor was arrested for solicitation for murder. Her new sentencing date has not been announced.
