Search warrants end in seizure of drugs and a firearm

Two search warrants condcuted on the 12th and 13th of March in Lee County have resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and a firearm.

Lee County Sheriff Gary Parsons reports that on March 12th at around 11:30 p.m., officers of the LCSO along with members of the Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 2846 Occonita Road, the residence of 54 year old Cecil Lee Hudson.

According to Parsons, Hudson was not home at the time of the search but officers found Methamphetamine and a firearm in the home. Both were seized.

Parsons said that on March 13th officers again served a search warrant at the residence of 44 year old Tony Renshaw of 130 Cobb Drive in the Ben Hur section of the county. Officers were searching for synthetic drugs, namely (POSH).

Parsons said the drug paraphernalia associated with the distribution of illegal drugs was found along with residual amounts of what appears to be the drug searched for.

According ot Parsons, all of the drug evidence seized will be sent to the State Forensics Lab in Roanoke for testing. Indictments will be sought for both individuals when those results are returned.
