Scouts in the River a Success

Scouts in the River, held Saturday, was a great success. Town Manager, Keith Harless, said he was happy with the participation and a large amount of trash was collected along the Powell River. This event, held in conjunction with Girl Scout Troop 603 was rescheduled from it original date of April 24 to Saturday due to rain but it did not hurt the turnout with over 50 people donating their time to come out and help with the cleanup. Harless said that the group worked hard and collected 3 tons of trash along the Powell River. Girl Scout Troop 603 and the Town of Pennington is proud to hold this event that helps the environment along the Powell River and looks forward to partnering for this event next year.
