Scott County Officers Involved in Shooting Back On Duty

Over in Scott County, Va an officer involved shooting led to an investigation that has the deputies involved required to undergo counseling. Both officers have returned to duty since the incident that occurred while they were serving an emergency custody order that was required for a man.
According to Scott County Sheriff Major Chris Holder, while a lot of information is protected and therefore unknown the deputies apparently returned fire after the man began shooting at them.
The Virginia State Police are still investigating the officer's use of force and those results will be handed over to the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for review.
Department Administrators cautioned all officers to remember that all calls are potentiously dangerous. At this time the man is still recovering in the hospital but is expected for face charges.
