The Lee County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest related to the break-in last Tuesday, May 26th, at the Roosters Pub in Pennington Gap. According to a press release, Sheriff Gary Parsons stated that Trevor Dakota Coomer was arrested on May 29th and charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny, Grand Larceny of $200 or more not from a person, and destruction of property. Parsons added that both the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and the Pennington Gap Police Department aided in the investigation leading up to the arrest and that both departments should be commended for their collaboration and teamwork. Coomer is being held at the Duffield Regional Jail with a bond set at $5000. He was arraigned yesterday before the Lee County General District Court.
The Lee County Tourism Office is sponsoring an inaugural 5k run at Cumberland Bowl Park on Saturday June 13th. The event entitled “Lovin’ Lee and Each Other” will bring the Mountains of Music Homecoming Event to Lee County.
