Ronald Williams Arrested on Meth Charges

Lee County Sheriff Gary Parson reports investigators received information that a male subject was driving a Gold Nissan Sedan with foil tape on the driver side window heading West on Route 58 was transporting Methamphetamine. Shortly after Lt Todd Jones, Deputy Chad Rouse and Sgt Mike Peters located the vehicle and make a traffic stop at the intersection of Red Fletcher Road and Wilderness Road. The driver was identified as 69 year old Ronald Williams of Thomas Walker Road in Rosehill.
After making contact with Mr. Williams, consent was given for a search of the vehicle. During the search a small plastic can was found containing 54 pills identified as 10mg Oxycodone, and another small can from the console containing four plastic bags of what appeared to be meth, along with $1,500 in cash. Mr. Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Distribute. He was processed without incident and held in the Duffield Regional Jail without bond.
