RAM (Remote Area Medical) at LMU June 30th-July1st

Remote Area Medical or RAM will be at Lincoln Memorial University Tex Turner Arena for their next mobile clinic on Saturday June 30th and Sunday July 1st. RAM will be offering free medical, dental, vision and veterinary services to those uninsured or underinsured, or unemployed.
Combined, LMU and RAM have provided free services totaling over $1.5 million work of service to 4,906 people since 2006. RAM events at LMU have also spayed or neutered 1,535 animals. Individuals utilizing the benefits of the human services portion of the event are encouraged to take advantage of the free veterinary services provided at this time. Only intact animals are eligible for the variety of services to be offered.
All services will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, with no eligibility requirements. Everyone is encouraged to arrive early, be prepared for different weather situations, take along plenty of snacks and beverages to last throughout the day, and for those unable to stand for long periods of time it is suggested they take along a lawn chair as the wait time may be long for services.
The Tex Turner Parking lot will be open for parking at midnight at which time numbers will be distributed until 3:00 a.m. The lower level parking lot will be reserved for event staff. Everyone else will be parking in the upper parking lot with shuttle buses running throughout the weekend to transfer patients.
Additionally, staff volunteers are still needed for the event, among which include Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Oral Surgeons, Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Opticians, Physician Assistants, Nurses and EMT’s. In addition they also need volunteers for the registration process and Clinic Support.  Those interested should register online at volunteer.RAMusa.org or by phone at 1-865-579-2555.
