This Saturday and Sunday, June 6th and 7th, Remote Area Medical will partner with Lincoln Memorial University for a health clinic providing free dental, medical, and vision services to the uninsured, under-insured, and unemployed. Services will be provided at LMU in the Tex Turner Arena parking lot. The lot will open at 12 midnight and numbers will be distributed starting at 3:00 a.m., with the clinic opening each day at 6:00 a.m. Those interested should expect long waits and are encouraged to arrive early and plan for inclement weather. Patients should be sure to bring food and drinks to last throughout the day, and bring chairs if unable to stand for long periods of time.

Handicapped parking will be available in the lower Tex Turner Arena parking lot, in front of the entrance. Shuttle buses will run from the upper lot to the entrance throughout the day.

Medical services will include breast exams, pulmonary function testing, specialist exams, diabetes and cholesterol screenings, pap smears, osteopathic manipulations, and more.

Dental services will include fillings, cleanings, and extractions.

Visual services will include complete eye exams and eyeglasses made on site, if supplies are available.
