Proposed Fencing Ordinance Meeting January 16, 2018

 There will be a Public Hearing for the proposed Fencing Law ordinance that will be held by the Lee County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday evening, January 16th, 2018 in the general District Courtroom of the Lee County Courthouse located in Jonesville, Va.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to garner public comment on the proposed Fencing Law for Lee County, Virginia. If the proposed law is adopted, the boundary line of each lot or tract of land within the County of Lee would be declared to be a lawful fence as to any and all domesticated livestock referred to in Code of Virginia, Section 55-306. Furthermore it shall then be unlawful for the owner or manager of any animal or type of animal described in Section 55-306 to permit such animal to run at large beyond the limits of his lands within the County of Lee.
