The Town of Pennington Gap held their monthly meeting on Monday, October 20 at 6:00 pm.
Council had a public hearing about the ordinance of hybrid dogs within the town. No one spoke about the subject and the council adopted the ordinance.
The Fire Department Chief Brian Skidmore discussed about the building updates. The building has taken longer to complete due to the weather, and that a company is donating all of the wall materials to finish with the bathrooms to allow for the fire department to move into the building once those are complete.
Council approved to have a public hearing at next months meeting to amend the current ordinance on sales of alcohol, wine and beer which does not all to be sold on Sunday.
This is allow the town residents to speak for or against the current ordinance on whether or not to sell on Sundays.
