Pennington Gap to Save Money with Refinancing

Pennington Gap will save in the neighborhood of 50-thousand dollars by refinancing the 2007 bond series. Members of the Town Council voted to go with a local bank to get a better rate, after a special meeting, last week. The Council directed Town Attorney Charles Slemp to arrange bond counsel to proceed with the refinancing process. In another vote, Council members approved a bid from Mark Tolliver to clear the Greenway construction trail at a cost of 80 dollars an hour.
