October School Board

The Lee County School Board was held on October 14 at 7:00 pm.

The board recognized John Bost, a Thomas Walker High School Senior, is a Semifinalist in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Thomas Ellis, Masonic Lodge of Pennington Gap, presented the program, "Gift of Knowledge." They have raised money with other Masonic in Lee County to give each 3rd grade student a Webster's Dictionary. The dictionaries will allow the students to become for confident, better writers, and more confident in themselves.

Pennington Middle School received the highest percentage of attendance for the month of September with 93.822%, and Elk Knob was second with 93.819%.
