Norton City Council Agenda for February 18, 2020

Norton City Council Agenda for February 18, 2020, began with roll call.
Then Reverend Gary Hill gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
After which approval was given for the Minutes from the February 4, 2020 meeting.
After the Public portion of the meeting, they moved on to New Business consisting of;
A request to allow the placement of a POW-MIA Memorial in Veterans Park.
Overview of the 2019 Parks and Recreation Events and Activities.
Update on the 2020 Norton Business Challenge Competition.
Confirmation of a Check/Transfer in excess of $100,000, before moving on to the closed meeting portion for personnel. Included was council consideration for a transfer to Norton City Schools to cover General Obligation School Bond Series 2012 payment. During which time they voted on;
Appointment of a Parent Representative to the Norton Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) for a two year term.
Appointment to the Building Code Board of Appeals for a five year term, currently Stephen McElroy, whose term has expired.
Culmination of the meeting by the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Council, after which time the meeting adjourned.
