Enjoy the seasonal weather this weekend with the family at a state park. Natural Tunnel State Park is offering the following programs-
On Friday May 29th
Enjoy a campfire from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. The program is free and will include story-telling, songs, games, and marshmallow roasting.
On Saturday, May 30th
Natural Tunnel is hosting a Cherokee Canoe Trip down the Clinch River from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $15 per person or $12 per person for groups of 10 or more. Ages 5 and up are welcome.
From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., tour a replica of the Anderson Blockhouse, guided by members of the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Association.
For those looking for adventure, walk and wade the strenuous Stock Creek Passage. Cost is $5 per person, ages 8 and up. Pre-registration is required.
In the evening, from 6:30 to 8:00, enjoy a wagon ride along the Fincastle Turnpike. Adults cost $5 per person, children 12 and under cost $3.
