Mother of Two Found Dead

The Virginia Sheriff's Office in Russell County, is trying to find connections between a person of interest and a crime scene after a twenty nine year old mother of two was killed in her home on November fifth. Those who knew Santana Hale stated she will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter and member of their community.

Santana Hale and her boyfriend had only resided in the apartment for approximately five months and their landlord stated he never anticipated anything like this happening in the Castlewood community.
The Russell County Sheriff's Office discovered Santana Hale dead inside the apartment, after responding to a call for 142 Boyd Street. Sheriff Steve Dye stated "We believe it is related to a domestic incident." The body of Santana Danielle Hale has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in Roanoke for an autopsy.

Police identified a person of interest in the case but as of now no charges have been filed. Meanwhile the person of interest is in jail on unrelated charges. A pair of black and red Air Jordans that could help link the incarcerated person of interest to the case if there's any DNA on them that connects that person of interest to the crime scene were found.

The Wise County's Sheriff's Office report said a pair of black and red Air Jordans were seen in two different location, with one shoe found on Bear Creek Road in Norton and the other on Route 58 just outside the Norton City limits. Shoes in both locations were gone by Sunday afternoon.
