More Virginia High School Students Graduate On Time

Nearly 87 percent of Virginia public high school students in the class of 2011 graduated on time. According to the Virginia Department of Education, 7 percent of them dropped out. Last academic year was the first time high schools had to meet annual graduation and completion benchmarks to earn full state accreditation. 86 percent of public high schools are fully accredited, according to the State Education Department.
