Man arrested

During a checkpoint by Kentucky State Police on Friday, December 26, an Evarts man was arrested and is facing charges for an alleged incident.

Joshua Holden, 32, of Evarts, was arrested for warrant stemming from an alleged robbery that occured on December 20, when Holden robbed five people at gunpoint. 

Holden was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment and third-degree terroristic threatening.

Holden was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on two full cash bonds totaling $60,000.
