Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) is hosting an information session for individuals interested in applying for LMU-DCOM’s Standardized Patient Program from 5-7 p.m. on December. 11 in room 105 of the LMU-DCOM building on the LMU campus in Harrogate.

A Standardized Patient (SP) is a part-time employee trained to portray a patient with a specific medical history and physical exam findings for the purpose of instructing health professional students. These cases have been developed by faculty members for a student exam, and the Standardized Patient follows the scripted case throughout the encounter with the student in the Clinical Exam Center (CEC).

The information session will include a light dinner and an overview of the LMU-DCOM Standardized Patient Program by school officials. Applications will be taken following the session. For more information, or if you are unable to attend the information session, contact Sue Cobb at 423-869-6460 or email sue.cobb@lmunet.edu.
