Lee Sheriff’s Office Seizes Cocaine, Heroin, Cash From Vehicle

A search of a vehicle located in the Jonesville section of Lee County has resulted in the seizure of cocaine, heroin, and cash.

Lee County Sheriff Gary Parsons reports that his office, acting on a tip that illegal drugs were being transported into Lee County, began watching for the vehicle, with an Ohio tag, on county roads. The vehicle was spotted in the Sugar Run section of the county, but eluded officers.

Parsons said the vehicle was later located near Jonesville. A consensual search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 3 grams of heroin, 3 grams of cocaine, and $561 in cash. The illegal contraband was discovered in a fake drink can used mostly for the smuggling of illegal drugs.

Parsons said that 26 year old Cody Lee Hall of 1635 Warsaw Street Warsaw, Indiana is charged with Possession of a Schedule I and Schedule II narcotic and distribution of a schedule I and II narcotic.

Parsons said he is being held in the Duffield Regional Jail with no bond. The investigation continues and further charges are anticipated.
