Lee County Sheriff’s Office Press Release Multiple Drug Related Arrests

According to the latest Lee County Sheriff’s Office Press Release, a search warrant conducted overnight in Pennington Gap has resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a large quantity of pills. Major Jimmy Woodard of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office stated that Officer Jimmy Adair of the Pennington Gap Police Department was able to obtain a search warrant at the residence of Jennifer Akers, of Pennington Gap.
When officers executed the search warrant three individuals attempted to flee out the back door, after officers were able to secure the residence, officers then located a small bag of marijuana, approximately six grams of methamphetamine, and approximately 255 Xanax pills.
Jennifer Akers, age 26, was charged with Sell/Distribution Schedule IV Drug and was released on a $1500 unsecured bond. Ralph Martin Davis, age 50 of Dryden, was charged with Possession with Attempt to Manufacture/Sell Schedule I, II Narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. No Bond has been set, and Davis is being housed in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail. Justin Allen Peterson, age 40 of Kingsport, TN has been charged with Sell/Distribution Schedule IV Drug and is being held on a $2500 secured bond.
Officer Adair was assisted with the execution of the search warrant by Officer Terry Lambert, Deputy Mason Cook and Captain Taylor Scott of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Major Woodard commended all of the officers involved for taking this poison off the streets and continuing to combat the drugs in our county.
