Lee County Sheriff’s Office is once again collecting drugs October 26th from 9am until 1pm. This is your opportunity to turn in your unused or expired medications for safe disposal with no questions asked. This event is in connection with community partners such as Food City, Concerned About Our Community Coalition, Frontier Health Planning District 1, Appalachian Substance Abuse Coalition for Prevention and Treatment, Drug Enforcement Administration, Pennington Gap Police Department, Weber City Police Department, City of Norton and Wise County Police Department, Town of Big Stone Gap, Town of Coeburn, Town of St. Paul Police Departments as well as Scott and Wise County Police Departments.
Drop off at Food City in Big Stone Gap, Coeburn, Pennington Gap, St. Paul, Weber City, Wise, Norton and Gate City. They will be accepting all controlled and non-controlled and over the counter medications. All solid dosage products and liquids in their original containers will be accepted. Please note that illicit substances such as Marijuana, Methamphetamine, IV Fluids, Sharps and Needles will not be accepted. That’s this Saturday from 9am until 1pm.
