Lee County Man Sentenced to Serve 21 Years for Domestic Violence

In a press release by the Lee County Commonwealth’s Attorneys Office, On Friday, August the 27th, the Lee Countuy Circuit Court sentenced Brandon Webb to serve a total of 21 years in the Virginia Penitentiary for abducting and maliciously wounding the mother of his child. This period of active incarceration wil be followed by 8 years of supervised probation.
A jury found the defendant guilty of the charges after a five-day trial in May. The case was tried by Commonwealth’s Attorney H. Fuller Cridlin and Deputy Commonwelath’s Attorney Sarah H. Wynn.

Cridlin release the following statement: “The lengthy sentence imposed by the Court today reflects the violent nature of the defendant’s crimes, and the defendant’s history of violence and domestic abuse. It took tremendous courage for the victim in this case to report her abuser and testify against him throughout a lengthy trial. Now that the case is finally over, I hope that the sentence imposed will allow her to move on with her life and raise her child without having to live in constant fear of the defendant.”
