Lee County Board of Supervisor’s Meeting 03

Additionally at the latest Lee County Board of Supervisor's Meeting last week, Commonwealth Attorney for Lee County, H. Fuller Cridlin, submitted a request for an additional exit door to be installed at his office suite at a cost of $5,035, while ongoing renovations are being made next to his office suites, and was declined by the Board. The Board and County Administrator went on in agreement that the matter could be considered again in the future, along with other possible safety matters.
Following the Board’s Closed Session period, approval was given to update the Emergency Operations Plan. Then they approved a supplemental appropriation to the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for $24,579 that is from delinquent fines and costs that had been collected the previous year. These additional funds will go towards salary supplements and emergency funds for the office.
Cope went on to suggest scheduling a Public Hearing in December, regarding the tax due date. He went on to suggest the changing of the tax due date be moved to October rather than December. Their next regularly scheduled meeting is December 17th, 2019.
