K9 Apache Nabs Brandon Boggs and Brian Perry

A Deputy on patrol on U.S. Hwy 23 observed a Chevrolet TrailBlazer Northbound crossing the center line/fog line multiple times. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver and passenger. The passenger admitted to driving before the Deputy stopped the vehicle and switching places with the current driver. The Deputy asked both subjects out of the vehicle and ran K9 Apache, even though the driver assured Deputies that there was definitely nothing illegal in the vehicle. K9 Apache alerted on the vehicle, and even though it was well hidden, Deputies located a large Ziplock bag with 6 smaller Ziplock bags inside wrapped in cellophane containing a green leafy substance. The bag was underneath the rear passenger seat on the driver's side, wedged in between the battery compartment. The total weight of the Marijuana was 247g, or 8.7 ounces.
Both the driver, Brandon Boggs, Pound VA and Brian Perry, also of Pound VA, were charged with Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute.
