Joshua Blankenship Arrested

Earlier this month a Scott County deputy observed a male subject asleep in his vehicle at the Valero Station in Wadlow Gap. The deputy noticed that he had a clear plastic bag, torch lighter and green see-thru container that revealed a powder like substance in his lap.
The deputy woke him up and asked him to step out of the vehicle. The subject, identified as Joshua Blankenship advised the deputy that he had a gun on his person. The deputy safely retrieved the gun and Blankenship was then placed in handcuffs. Blankenship also had a knife, a round container with a crystal substance that tested positive for meth and a white powder that he advised the deputy was cocaine.
A tow truck was called to the scene and an inventory was done on the vehicle. During the vehicle inventory the deputy located a locked box. When the box was opened, it had several glass pipes, plastic baggies, and a digital scale with white residue. It also contained two small baggies with marijuana inside.
Also recovered by the deputy was $329 in cash and two counterfeit $20 bills.
